Mud Hollow Farm
Equine Facilitated Learning
Developing social, emotional, and academic strategies through equine connections
NOT ALL CLASSROOMS HAVE FOUR WALLS
The Covid-19 Pandemic may have ended, but the effects on the educational experiences of young people will be felt for years. The virtual classroom did not work for all children because learning happens best when social, emotional, and cognitive growth are connected. The human-equine connection fosters this growth as students drive the learning experience with their equine partners.

The Mini Donkeys of Mud Hollow Farm help students develop academic, social, and emotional skills that improve quality of life such as self-confidence, trust, honesty, communication skills, and self-regulation.
This foundation supports experiential academic interventions for students who:
-
struggle in reading and/or math
-
don’t enjoy learning in a classroom
-
need to move while they learn
-
like hands on experiences
-
or just enjoy academic enrichment in an outdoor environment.
